The ESMO-ESO Course on Medical Oncology is one of the excellent undergraduate summer programs offered by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the European School of Oncology (ESO). The course is designed to cover the latest developments in cancer treatment and research. The course provides medical students with a comprehensive understanding of the key concepts in medical oncology to encourage them to pursue a career in medical oncology.

This course is ideal for undergraduates who are interested in medical oncology and looking to gain a better understanding of cancer and its treatment options. This course provides an overview of all areas of medical oncology, allowing students to acquire a full picture of this challenging and fascinating field before deciding on a specialty. ESMO and ESO hope to inspire those medical students to participate in this rapidly growing field for the benefit of cancer patients through a condensed, high-quality educational program.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to understand the basic biology of cancer and the principles of cancer treatment, recognize the signs and symptoms of common cancers, perform a basic cancer risk assessment, and order and interpret common cancer diagnostic tests.

The ESMO-ESO Course on Medical Oncology is a Fully Funded Course that covers the course registration, accommodation, meals, and a travel grant of 200 euros. It is considered one of the great Medical Scholarships for international students.

·        Undergraduates (fourth and fifth-year medical students).

·        English fluency.

·        Applicants must be ESMO members (undergraduates are offered free membership).
