HSCI scientists are pioneering the use of stem cells to regenerate damaged tissues, and to develop new treatments for conditions such as Blood diseases, Cancer, Cardiovascular diseases, Diabetes, Kidney disease, Musculoskeletal disease, Nerves system diseases, Skin diseases, and Fibrosis& Aging.
Harvard Stem Cell Institute
(HSCI) offers one of the excellent research
programs in the USA for international students interested in stem cell research.
The program offers an opportunity to gain experience in stem cell research and
to develop skills in research communication, data management, and project
management. It provides the outstanding students with a focused and challenging
summer research experience to be involved in hands-on stem cell research at one
of the world’s leading research and educational institutions. It aims to
increase their experience in research and to learn specific techniques that
will help them in their career. There are eight Harvard’s affiliated hospitals and
research centers where the interns will be distributed according to the program
administrators.
HSC Internship Program (HIP) is a Fully Funded Scholarship that covers the Accommodation, Travel
Costs, and Stipend of $5,000 for the duration of the program. It is
considered one of the best Medical Scholarships.

Eligibility
of HSC Internship Program 2022:
·
International students can apply.
·
Undergraduates (sophomores, juniors, and seniors).
·
Have strong interest in stem cell biology.
·
Previous lab research experience is highly desirable, but not a must.
· Not graduating by December, 2022.
· Not currently in high school or graduate/medical school (Exceptions are made for international students enrolled in one of the first five years of a six-or-seven-year medical program).

Selection
process of HSC Internship Program 2022:

The program committee will evaluate all applicants then select accepted students based on the personal statement and Recommendation letters from their recommenders. They will announce their decisions to the applicants by early March.
